elucidate the nature and origin of superconductivity and spin liquids by synthesizing materials

Researcher Hiroyuki YOSHIDAAssociate Professor

My research interests include exotic macroscopic quantum phenomena such as superconductivity and spin liquids in strongly correlated electron systems such as transition metal oxides and intermetallic compounds. The origin of the collective behavior of electrons, such as superconductivity, is partly understood, but not yet fully understood. My research aims to elucidate the nature and origin of superconductivity and spin liquids by synthesizing materials using various solid-state chemical methods and evaluating their physical properties, and to develop room-temperature superconductivity and new physical phenomena and concepts based on the findings.
