Hokkaido University has adopted the following four basic education and research principals: Frontier Spirit, Global Perspectives, All-round Education, and Practical Learning. Based on this philosophy, “HU VISION 2030” was enacted for 2030, and the research vision in this is to “recruit and train excellent young researchers.” L-Station plans and operates its own cross-departmental system to recruit and train non-tenured young faculty members.
