Agricultural techniques to reduce the environmental impacts due to agricultural activities.

Researcher Yoshitaka UCHIDAAssociate Professor

The Earth’s ecosystem recycles all its wastes perfectly. This process is known as ‘nutrient cycling’ and nutrients such as carbon and nitrogen are beautifully cycling within the Earth’s ecosystem. However, human-beings are known to be damaging this perfectly balanced environmental harmony. I research the mysteries within the nutrient cycling. Additionally, we study the practical agricultural techniques to reduce the environmental impacts due to agricultural activities. These techniques are based on our understanding of the nutrient cycles, as discussed above.
