Research Outline

I am interested in how we mammals are influenced by olfactory and gustatory cues when making decisions. By combining behavioral observations in the wild and in zoological settings with chemical analyses and molecular experiments, I explore the mechanisms underlying these behaviors. My current research focuses on chemical communication among forest mammals such as brown bears, and on the development of taste perception in cetacean infants.
