Research Outline
Neurodegenerative diseases are severe disorders characterized by the selective death of neurons responsible for motor and cognitive functions. The incidence of these diseases increases with age, making the development of preventive strategies and therapeutic agents a critical issue.
One known cause of neuronal death is the accumulation of protein aggregates within cells.
My research focuses on nucleic acids that suppress the formation of these protein aggregates. The ultimate goal of this study is to contribute to the development of preventive and therapeutic approaches for neurodegenerative diseases.
