Outline

Artificial Intelligence and Big Data are the driving forces to further develop the modern knowledge society. For the concrete development, it is essential to build next-generation hardware platforms such as ultra-high integration electronic circuits and ultra-high-speed optical communications. Furthermore, the power consumption burden of these information systems is approaching its limit, and there is a strong demand for significant reduction of power consumption.

My current research focuses on the intrinsic quantum states of light and electron toward the construction of an energy-saving photoelectric information platform consisting of spintronics circuits and optical wiring. I am developing semiconductor nanomaterials and optical spin devices that can enable a direct interconversion of electron spin and chiral light (spin state of light).
