Research Outline
During pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing, women generally experience significant physical, mental, and social changes associated with a high risk of mental health problems. Immigrant women experience the challenges of pregnancy and child-rearing and must overcome the difficulties associated with acculturation process.
We developed a mental health promotion intervention involving a smartphone application (Homepage: http://loveformom.online/) and online parenting workshops. This program was feasible and effective among Chinese women living in Japan.
Currently, we are working to develop a multilingual intervention program for immigrant women in Japan to improve their mental health. Besides, we are exploring the possibility of utilizing a deep learning model to predict women’s psychological disorders.
