Research Outline

I study smart agriculture that utilizes robotics and information and communication technologies for sustainable food production. Compared to the autonomous driving of normal cars, the system for agricultural vehicles has time-variant and significant non-linear characteristics. Thus, it is important to carefully consider changes in the state. In addition, fertilizer and pesticides should be input depending on the nutrient distribution of the soil and the amount of vegetation. To achieve this, sensing technology is essential. I would like to accumulate theories and technologies in smart agriculture that contain measurement technologies using various sensors, state estimation, control, model-based prediction, and optimization.
