Outline

Various human movements not only enable physical changes in the body and environment, but also function as visual information of biological motion to observers. I focus on the impressions and attractiveness of human movements, aiming at understanding interpersonal impression formation and its value/function.

As research methods, I am conducting measurement of body movements (e.g. motion capture system), cognitive processes using gaze measurement, a constructive approach by simulations, and subjective psychological tests. By exploring the relationships between these data, I am working on understanding the nature of humans in interactions with others.
