Outline

My research focuses on exploring spin-related physics and their control with spectroscopic techniques in semiconductor nanostructures. In particular, the spin ensemble of lattice nuclei offers intriguing possibilities, such as the use of long-lived quantum memory and multi-stability through the coupling with localized electrons.

I have been working with quantum dots [Fig. (a), (b)], known as “artificial atoms”, as nanostructured semiconductors. Recently, I have begun studying the exciton properties of transition metal dichalcogenides [Fig. (c)], which are attracting worldwide attention as the “ultimate two-dimensional semiconductors”.
