Research Outline
Lipids are essential biomolecules that serve not only as energy sources but are also indispensable for cell membrane structure, hormone synthesis, and signal transduction. Over tens of thousands of lipid species have been identified, with predictions suggesting more than 100,000 when including structural variants. I specialize in lipid analysis using LC-MS, employing untargeted lipidomics (comprehensive lipid profiling) to analyze diverse samples such as food, rat organs, and plasma, aiming to identify novel functional lipids and discover biomarkers.
Additionally, I have advanced targeted analysis using LC-MS, development of screening systems (cell-based assays), and exploration of food-derived components that regulate lipid metabolism. Through these studies, I aim to elucidate lipid structures and functions, facilitating practical applications in medicine and food science.
